2023 Wayne Education Network STEAM Festival

The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce is holding our 9^th annual STEAM Festival on Sunday, October 15^th at the Maxwell Center from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. The FREE event is open to public and will help the community, students, and adults, to understand the potential in the areas of STEAM; to help them to build confidence and competence among their peers; and to foster a spirit of scientific inquiry.

The afternoon will be a FUN filled family day of all things Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math. We will have many opportunities for attendees to participate with hands on activities including:

CO2 powered Dragster racing
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Singles Gaming Tournament
Fortnite Duos No Build Gaming Tournament
4H Robotics demonstration
Oversized Sling Shot Corn Hole Game provided by Team Seegars Fence
Impact of the fall of a hard hat demonstration provided by Daniels & Daniels Construction
Robotics, Car Design, Electronics, 3D Printing, and Coding demonstration by Wayne County Public Library
Demonstration of a "Flame Tube" by team JSmith Civil
Dance performances by In Motion Entertainment, Artistic Dance Academy, Goldsboro School of Ballet, and Legacy Dance
University of Mount Olive mobile STEM Lab
University of Mount Olive Animal Science department will have a display that includes donkeys
