An evening of Jazz featuring- The Renowned Monitors Band
The Renowned Monitors Band will perform at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. The ten-piece band is well known throughout eastern North Carolina for their jazz, rhythm and blues and classical repertoire. The group began with four high school band directors and has opened for artists like Roberta Flack and the late Ray Charles.
Presented by the Epsilon Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc as they continue their Centennial Celebration, it will be a night to remember. The doors open at 7:00 p.m. and tickets will be on sale for $25.00. Tickets may be purchased from any member of the organization by calling the Alpha Kappa Alpha office at 919-735-1952. Tickets at the door will be limited.
Supported by the City of Goldsboro and The Paramount Theatre Foundation, The Paramount is a performing arts theater originally built in 1882 and reconstructed in 2008.
