Astronomy for Everyone

Come on out to Cliffs of the Neuse State Park to learn about the stars and some of the astronomical features in the night sky. We will view the stars through telescopes, but feel free to bring your own telescope, camp chairs, and binoculars. Come dressed to be outside. We will meet in the field next to the park entrance from 7-9pm. If you are coming in to the park from NC 111, turn left before you reach the park gate. Go by one house on right and one house on left. The viewing willb e in the big field on the right.  Park alongside the paved road. This program is weather dependent. Please call the park office to register or email.
