Clyde Jones Critters are coming to graze in the Arts Council Gardens from September 8th through September 30th. One of which will be up for silent auction during the Sunday in the Garden event on September 21st, all proceeds will benefit the Arts Council.
Nationally recognized outsider artist Clyde Jones lives in Bynum, NC. He is well known as the creator of whimsical "critters" that he fashions with his chainsaw and decorates with found objects. "Clyde's Critters" have been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC and the NC Museum of Art.
Clyde will be at the Arts Council on Monday, September 15th creating one of his whimsical critters for demonstration and a workshop for children ages 6 to 12 from 3:30-5:00pm. Contact the Arts Council to register.
