Faye Lane is a writer/performer living in New York City, but inside, she’s still little Rhonda Faye Gunnels who grew up in her mama's Texas beauty shop. On the front porch, a fat little girl in a glittered-up Burger King crown practiced her beauty queen speeches and dreamed of being a star! She spent her time daydreaming on that porch with a Moon Pie in one hand and a hairbrush “microphone” in the other, giving concerts for the ladies held captive under the long line of hood dryers on one wall.
