Gogi Moose Play

Written by Wayne Community College students Gary Moore and Christopher Ballance. The play is about a 17 year old high school student named Jefferson 'Gogi' Moose who comes from a lower middle class family. He lives with his mother and doesn't know who his father is. He is under the impression that his father left his mother after finding out that she was pregnant. Gogi lives a normal high school life. He has two really close friends named Brett Byrdman and Anastasia Bradley. One day he finds out that his father is a billion dollar marketing executive in New York and that his father has recently passed away suddenly. Now his father's company has called him out to New York to handle some things that his father failed to take care of before he died. The play is centered around his struggles with leaving his normal small town life and moving to New York and leaving his old friends and finding new relationships. The play is a comedy targeted towards the younger generation around 13-25 year olds.
