Meet the Artist

Baskets are an old art made for specific uses throughout history. It's

 an art that is disappearing and needs to be kept alive. Most people do

not realize just what goes into making a basket, especially with the

inexpensive, mass produced samples imported. It's a true Folk Art. A

 good example is a market basket used in place of plastic bags. It's

also a way to use natural materials available to anyone but requires

 processing time.

 Basket weaving goes back to a slower time rather than instant

everything. Sadly, the younger generation will never experience this

 for the most part.

 The small , decorative linen baskets are theraputic.
