New Year's Eve Pickle Drop
Ring in the New Year as only Mount Olive can: watch a glowing pickle descend into a giant pickle jar at the stroke of 7 o'clock on New Year's Eve! Presented by Mt. Olive Pickle on partnership with the University of Mount Olive and the Town of Mount Olive.
The evening features live music, free pickles, food trucks, and a chance to win door prizes for those who contribute to the annual food drive for Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Everything gets underway at 5 o'clock, and the pickle descends at 7. A fireworks display immediately follows. Bring your own chairs or blankets.
The whole thing is over by 7:30.

The Pickle Drop is staged in front of Kornegay Arena on the campus of University of Mount Olive, 634 Henderson Street. Handicapped parking is available, and attendees can park anywhere on campus.
