Ride for the Red

The Ride for the Red is an annual fund raiser for the Wayne County, NC chapter of the American Red Cross, with proceeds going to single-family fire response and relief. It will be held Saturday, May 31. It will kick off and return to Wayne Community College. Registration will be held on site 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Kick stands go up at 1 p.m. for a 75-mile route around the county and return around 3 p.m. Cost is $20 for riders and $10 for co-riders. Participants will be provided lunch and a T-shirt and chances to win prizes. Sponsors and donors are needed. A free community event will be held 1-6 p.m. on the college campus to coincide with the ride.
