The Art of Negotiating

Wayne Community College Small Business and Industry Center will present a free seminar “The Art of Negotiating” on Tuesday, February 16, 6-9 p.m. in Room 101 of the Walnut Building on the college’s main campus in Goldsboro. This seminar replaces the formerly scheduled class “How to be Successful in Retail Management.”

Are not most things in your life a negotiation?  Whether you are dealing with your family, working with others, seeking a job raise or a new job, buying a car or house, shopping, working with customers or suppliers, you negotiate.  In this interactive seminar, you will learn how to apply skills and strategies, read others, guide a conversation, and close the deal.

Thomas Patrick, the presenter, is a retired United States Marine of 20 years, a trainer, and a motivational keynote speaker at conferences and conventions in North Carolina and Virginia.  He is an advocate of lifelong learning, a member of Toastmasters International, and the founder and President of Higher Ground Enterprises, Inc. headquartered in Jacksonville, NC.
